“Full Fare” rate is $3.00.
“Half Fare” rate is $1.50 and to qualify you must be a senior (65 or older), disabled (with prior certification) or youth (7-16 years of age).

TICKET INFORMATION
- Must be a registered SMTD rider to use tickets.
- You must be a qualified half fare rider to use half fare tickets.
- Half fare qualified is defined as seniors 65 or older, disabled with prior certification, and youth 7-16 years old.
- Ride tickets are not transferable and are valid only on Stateline Mass Transit buses.
- Fares are available on your phone with Token Transit app, online or by mail.
ORDER FARES ON YOUR PHONE
SMTD riders now have a new and convenient way to purchase fares. Introducing Token Transit in partnership with SMTD. If you have a smart phone, you can download the Token Transit App from either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Once you have the app, it’s easy to purchase your fares using your phone for a contactless “ticket to ride” experience. Follow these simple steps:
- Open the Token Transit App on your phone. Users log-in using their phone number and a simple text message verification code.
- Select SMTD, Rockton IL from list of agencies under ‘Select Agency’ and click ‘Done’.
- Click Buy Passes at bottom of screen, and app will default to SMTD, your selected agency.
- Tap on SMTD and select your rider type, then select your fare and hit confirm choice at bottom of screen.
- Set your payment by adding your debit or credit card information. Token Transit is safe and secure. Click on Confirm Choice, then Confirm Purchase. Pass will then appear in your ‘Pass Wallet’.
- When ready to use the fare, click on the pass on your phone, then click confirm. Note: Clicking on the pass activates the pass and the fare pass itself will appear on the screen. A countdown then begins which is the time available to use the pass.
Show the pass on your phone to the driver and board the bus for a safe and easy contactless ticket exchange.

SEND A PASS
